Kinnard Law is pleased to announce that Attorney Mary Ellen Morris has been elected to the Fellows Class of 2019 by the Tennessee Bar Foundation!
This a tremendous honor that speaks to Mary’s exceptional body of work as a Civil Trial Lawyer, and the reputation she’s cultivated among her professional colleagues.
Tennessee Bar Foundation Fellows
The Tennessee Bar Foundation is a legal organization comprised of prominent attorneys who have distinguished themselves as civic and legal leaders.
Each year, the Foundation honors a select group of lawyers from across the state as “Fellows” whose contributions will aid the Foundation in its mission to support law-related public interest projects and administer its IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) grant program.
As the Foundation serves a critical role in bolstering access to justice, the community, and current and future legal practitioners in Tennessee, Fellows are carefully vetted. Candidates must be nominated by current membership, evaluated by committees from one of the Foundation’s three Grand Divisions, and selected for inclusion by the Board of Trustees.
Per the Foundation’s bylaws, Fellows must:
- Be licensed for a minimum of 15 years;
- Demonstrate uncompromised commitment to the highest personal and professional standards;
- Have a record of outstanding contributions to the legal profession and public good; and
- Exemplify qualities aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
